Making an offer
Some listings let you propose your own price instead of paying the listed one. Here is how offers work.
How to make an offer
- Open the product page. If the seller accepts offers you will see a Make an offer button next to Add to cart.
- Enter the amount you want to pay and, optionally, a short message.
- The seller can accept, decline or counter. You will be notified either way.
- If your offer is accepted, the item is reserved for you at that price and you complete checkout as normal.
Good practice
Offers well below the listed price are usually declined. Mentioning why — quantity, condition, a bundle — makes an offer far more likely to be accepted.
Frequently asked
Yes. If the seller accepts, you are expected to complete the purchase at that price.
You can withdraw an offer at any time before the seller accepts it.
Offers expire automatically if the seller does not respond, and you are free to buy elsewhere in the meantime.
Only on listings where the seller has enabled offers. Everything else is sold at the listed price.
