Where to begin???....
back story.. bought an A17 for my husband %26 its junk so was looking for an upgrade to the A36 for myself %26 give my husband my fairly still new A26 that he already knows how to work %26 everything about it... Few Days ago- got online %26 saw this Samsung Galaxy A36 so decided to go for it since it was still locked new phone in the box not refurbished even though it wasnt directly a straight talk sold phone..
Recieved my package on 06.29.2026 %26 started the setting up %26 activation process. everything was going smooth till activation time when Straight talk begins to tell me the phone isnt compatible cause its a phone locked to Total Wireless %26 is currently active on a plan. I told the lady thats impossible that i just ordered this phone on Wal-Mart %26 that im holding a phone with that SIM card number %26 info in my hand. I contacted seller with no response %26 proceeded to return it to my local Wal-Mart yesterday...
At the store, I go to return the phone %26 she tries to tell me the bar code on the phone box dont match the item on the receipt looking at me like i just tried to return a phone that wasnt what i actually paid for. Thankfully she typed everything in manually %26 got my return started but now the item is at my local store %26 the app says i still need to return the phone.. so not sure why this is so much of a hassel but here we are.. killing it.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ordering from this seller, find another store to purchase the device your wanting if its not avaliable thru Wal-Mart, your normal actual carrier(in store/online) or purchase one you are curtain no doubt is compatible.. dont risk this company like i did..

Great phone don't need it though returning it I would recommend it for anyone it's better than the 37 as in it doesn't have an ESIM when the a 36 has the e SIM which I don't understand why the newer model wouldn't have improvement there or at least the same or better

Meh, not as good as the A32.

The A36 is typical of newer technology: it's less user friendly. My biggest issue is that Samsung switched from their own message system to Google Messages, which is NOT a good msg system. In fact, it's a royal pain in the butt. I'm probably going to keep the phone because it has taken me days to switch over & get everything setup; and, the other phone options aren't great. I don't like iPhones at all.
